Claim: A blog post claims that the Proman Capsule can completely cure prostatitis, solve all men’s health problems and increase longevity.

Full Text

According to the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), prostatitis is a common condition in men that can lead to urinary tract issues and pelvic discomfort. It is classified into four main types: acute bacterial prostatitis, chronic bacterial prostatitis, chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS), and asymptomatic inflammatory prostatitis.

The bacterial form of prostatitis is primarily caused by bladder infections or bladder stones, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), use of a urinary catheter, undergoing a prostate biopsy, prostate stones, urinary retention or blockage, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and injury to the pelvic area.

Complications of acute or chronic bacterial prostatitis can include bacterial infection of the blood (bacteremia), inflammation of the epididymis (epididymitis), formation of a pus-filled cavity in the prostate (prostatic abscess), and infections spreading to nearby bones or the spine.

The treatment of prostatitis varies depending on its type, which may include antibiotics, alpha-blockers, anti-inflammatory agents, prostatic massage, pelvic floor physical therapy, lifestyle changes, acupuncture, and, in rare cases, surgery.

Amidst these varied approaches, a blog named Meduza, on August 23, 2025, claimed that Proman Capsules can completely cure prostatitis and solve a range of men’s health problems. This post also claimed that the capsule cures erectile dysfunction and urinary issues, while increasing longevity.

Proman Capsules is produced by Exeter Pharmaceuticals and Progress Nutrition. According to these companies, the capsules are designed specifically for men and combine vitamins, minerals, and herb extracts to support overall health, vitality, and immune function.

The blog post describes Proman Capsules as a “longevity formula” that guarantees a 100% cure for prostatitis and boosts all aspects of male health.

The blog post also features an endorsement of the capsule from a named doctor Kunle Adebayo, described as “the head of the Urology Department at the Emergency Clinical Hospital in Lagos, expert in medical sciences, the world’s oldest general practitioner at 89 years old.

The post reads in part, “Just yesterday, our editorial team secretly published an interview with a Nigerian urologist who did not hesitate to expose the pharmaceutical mafia and reveal the secret to longevity and prostate health. This interview has already spread widely and is in demand. Pharmacy chain owners are removing it from all sources, so read it as soon as possible! (sic)”

The blog post also features pop-up prompts urging users to “click on one of the doors” to win a discount, claiming urgency through countdown timers and limited stock notices.

“Order Now! You will never have an opportunity like this again. You will regret missing it. It is impossible to know how long the program will last or how long there will be sufficient stock of Proman in Nigeria. Buy Proman now! The promotion will be valid between the following dates: May 14, 2025 – May 21, 2025. Try your luck! Click on one of the doors! Try to get Proman at a discounted price! (sic)”

Given the suspicion and health impact of the claim, we fact-checked it.

Verification

We examined the website on WHOIS, a public database that stores information about domain names and IP addresses. The finding indicates that the blog, located at blog.bio-nutrabalance.com, is invalid.

We conducted a Google keyword search on the Lagos Emergency Clinical Hospital. Information about the hospital could not be found. Meanwhile, Lagos State has 30 state-owned secondary health facilities, but the Lagos Emergency Clinical Hospital is not one of them.

We also found that the said doctor is not the oldest in the world. Findings revealed that Howard Tucker, aged 102, a neurologist from Cleveland, Ohio, was named the “Oldest Practicing Doctor″ by Guinness World Records.

Given the suspicion around the claimed doctor, we analysed the image using Fake Image Detector, a tool for detecting image manipulations. Analysis revealed that the image of the doctor appeared to be a computer-generated or modified image.

A keyword search of Proman capsules shows multiple websites advertising similar Proman products at the same price but with different ingredients, dosages, benefits, reviews, and doctors who do not exist. Several brands also use a similar name but offer different ingredients in their products.

The “doctor” supposedly endorsing Proman Capsules is not a verified medical professional, and his image is a stock photo, indicating the deceptive nature of the entire campaign.

The blog claiming that Proman can cure painful urination, pain in the groin area, and prostatitis and the site’s manipulative strategies, such as countdown timers, gimmick interactions, “click the door to win”, and unverified discounts, to rush decision-making, are classic signs of scam marketing aimed at tricking users into making impulsive purchases without verifying the legitimacy of the product.

Can Capsules Treat or Cure Prostatitis?

According to Healthline, an American website providing health information, no single capsule can cure prostatitis. Mayo Clinics, a private American academic medical center mentioned that the disease has several causes, types, and its treatment approaches vary. Similar posts about managing the infection can be found here and here.

A urologist, specialised in prostatitis, Dr. Curtis Nickel, during a prostate health podcast, clarified the various aspects of the condition and its treatment in a YouTube video. Nickel explained that the diagnosis of prostatitis is important to know the patient’s traits and for a tailored treatment plan.

The American Urological Association notes that treatments for prostatitis include antibiotics and intravesical treatments, among other options, depending on the type of prostatitis.

According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a US government agency, some supplements and medications may help manage the symptoms; they do not cure the condition, and urologists rely on evidence-based treatments like antibiotics, alpha-blockers, and other therapies depending on the specific type and severity of prostatitis.

Conclusion

The claim that Proman Capsules cure prostatitis and improve all aspects of a man’s health is misleading and is not scientifically proven. The website’s use of fake urgency, discount tricks, and fabricated images and endorsements of a fake doctor are red flags typical of online health scams. No scientific or regulatory evidence supports the claim that Proman Capsules can cure prostatitis or other complex male health issues. Such claims contradict the current medical consensus and treatment guidelines for prostate-related conditions.
